FAQs

  1. What is included in the wedding videography service?

Our Essential Memories service includes all raw footage captured during the booking from each of the cameras. We also have two edit options that you can select from for an additional cost:

  • Cherished Moments Bundle: Sixty-second highlight edit,
  • Golden Memories: Three-minute extended edit.

Longer edits are available upon request.

2. How do we Secure a booking?

Simply get in touch with our team via the contact form or email banksvideographyau@gmail.com. During the meeting we discuss the details, answer your questions, and guide you through the process. Once details are confirmed the booking fee of one-hundred dollars is required and is non-fundable. This amount is deducted from the overall total cost within the final deposit. The first deposit of ¾ of the total amount needs to be paid fourteen business days before the event, and the remaining sum is required post-event before the files/edits are released.

3. Do You Only Cover day events?

Yes. Our services and equipment is tailored for day events to ensure optimal lighting for high-quality video footage.

4. Can we request drone footage for aerial views of our outdoor venue?

No, our equipment does not currently include a drone.

5. What rights do you retain regarding the use of the footage?

We retain the right to use the footage for promotional and advertising purposes to showcase our services. Rest assured, we prioritise discretion and respect your privacy by ensuring no personal information is included. However, you can request to have all footage remain private for an additional cost.

6. Can we make specific requests for the edits?

Certainly! We encourage open communication about your preferences. During the planning phase, we'll discuss specific details to tailor the edits to your liking. If you have any edits that inspire you please send through for review so we can draw from them. As stated in the contract you are required to select the music for your edited videos. Different songs can be selected for each edit requested.

7. How many videographers will be present on our wedding day?

Our service includes one videographer, however, another videographer can be organised for an additional cost.

8. What is the backup plan for unforeseen circumstances such as equipment failure?

We have backup equipment such as batteries and memory cards readily available to handle any unforeseen technical issues. Our limited liability is outlined in the contract.

9. What if we break or damage the copies you provide us?

You can request a copy of the edits within seven years of the event date for an additional cost. No raws included.

10. Can we provide a shot list or specific moments we want to ensure are captured?

Absolutely! We encourage you to share any specific moments or shots you have in mind. This helps us tailor our approach to capture your unique vision. These moments do need to be scheduled within the time you have hired us, we are not contractually obligated to wait outside of the booking hours to capture said moments.

11. Are there any restrictions on the locations you can cover?

We aim to cover all significant locations. Any specific areas you want to highlight can be discussed during our planning sessions. Clients assume all responsibility for obtaining any necessary permission, clearance permits access to, hook-up fees, and admission which may be required to video the event.

12. How do you minimise risk of light flickering?

It is the duty of the clients to have a discussion with the relevant wedding vendors, such as event managers and wedding planners, to ensure the risk of light flicker is minimised. If the venue has multiple lights on different frequencies the cameras will pick this up. In these cases we drop the shutter speed to 50 frames per second to avoid light-flicker. However, once multiple lights operating at different frequencies have been captured it can not be adjusted for during pre or post-edit. If this occurs Banks Videography will not be held liable.

13. Is there a limit to the number of edits we can request?

We strive to provide edits that align with your vision. While our edit packages include one revision before the final is provided, additional edits can be requested and will come at an additional cost.

14. Are there any restrictions on sharing our wedding video on social media?

You are welcome to share your wedding video on social media. However, we do ask for proper accreditation

when posting. Depending on the music you select it can potentially get blocked by Instagram, etc. It is for this reason that we incorporate some of the audio from the day into edits in an attempt to avoid this from occurring.

15. Why are the GoPros set at 1080p and not 4k?

Higher resolutions and framerates limit the recording time of equipment and risk gear overheating. Whereas, 1080p drastically increases the battery life of the gear, ensuring we capture more of your big day. 1080p provides a unique, cinematic feel and helps to hide skin texture such as zits and wrinkles etc. It also provides better low-light performance. Additionally, a higher resolution does not mean a better image, it just allows closer cropping in post.

Furthermore, since we provide the raw files for clients to edit as they wish, most end up editing it themselves with free software. This enables a wider range of clients to achieve this without having to own a high-end equipment.

1080p also provides a much faster upload and download process, enabling us to get the content to you faster and for you to share the footage with loved ones swiftly. As such we prefer 1080p for capturing beautiful days. Finally, you or your editor can export in 4k if you wish in post. However, if you truly wish for adjustments this can be discussed during the consultation or booking.

16. Why Use GoPros?

These powerful pieces of equipment are amazing at capturing the most unique of angles. Additionally, it is a lot easier for photographers to edit out and work around the small black box. Furthermore, these angles can be saved without a videographers physical presence hindering the flow of the moment, increasing the likelihood of capturing candid moments and genuine reactions from potentially shy guests.
